Dolla was an up-and-coming Atlanta based rapper who was signed to Akon’s Kovict Muzik label in 2007. He has released a handful of popular hip hop singles since his signing. Songs to his credit include “Who The Fuck Is That?” (with T-Pain and Tay Dizm), “Make A Toast,” and “Feelin’ Myself” from the Step Up soundtrack. Dolla was also a member of rap group, Da Razkalz Cru. He was allegedly shot and killed on May 18th, 2009 after an altercation outside the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. He was just 21. Police later arrested Aubrey Berry at Los Angeles International Airport, charging him with the murder of Dolla.
Lawrence Welk was an American band leader and accordionist who rose to fame as one if television’s earliest variety show hosts. His The Lawrence Welk Show began airing in 1951 and would continue to entertain millions for the next 30 years with its squeaky clean “Champagne Music.” On his 21st birthday, Welk left the family farm in Strasburg, ND to pursue his career in music, first performing in bands and then forming his orchestra which would take him all over the region and later to major cities like Chicago and New York. In 1951, he settled in Los Angeles and debuted The Lawrence Welk Show on local channel, KTLA. It became an instant local hit and was picked up by ABC who began airing in nationally in 1955. The conservative program was well liked for its wholesome entertainment and familiarity of music – Welk insisted the entertainers perform only songs that were already hits by others. The show launched the careers of such musical greats as Myron Floren, Pete Fountain, 
Alex Nelson was a guitarist for Los Angeles shock metal band, Lizzy Borden during the mid ’80s. He replaced original guitarist, Tony Matuzak. He stayed with the band on and off through 2004. Although generally associated with the hair bands of the day, Lizzy Borden had more in common with Alice Cooper and Judas Priest. He was killed in a head on collision on May 17, 2004.
Bruce Fairbairn was a Canadian trumpet player, but made a huge mark on popular music as a rock producer. Fairbairn hit his stride in the ’80s producing such albums as Loverboy’s Get Lucky, Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet, Aerosmith’s Permanent Vacation, and later, Bon Jovi’s New Jersey, Aerosmith’s Pump, Poison’s Flesh and Blood, Van Halen’s Balance, AC/DC’s The Razor’s Edge Kiss’ Psycho Circus, and many more. It was while working on Yes’ Ladder, in May of 1999 that Jon Anderson discovered Bruce Fairbairn’s body in his home. Cause of death was not immediately released.
